Centered in the public square of the county seat, the Lorain County Courthouse completed an extensive interior alteration to house the Adult Probation & Pre-Sentencing Investigation Departments. Its exterior, though, is essentially intact with the exception of a new accessible entry vestibule structure added to the south end of the building. It is representative of late 19th century neo-classical civic architecture.
